Deorbit is a collection of songs written between 2006 and 2009. "Sober Colony", "The Sun and the Moon", and "The Solar Prime Elite" were all originally slated for Rise of the Obsidian Interstellar, but for the sake of keeping the length of the album manageable, and difficulties with updating their sound, I chose to keep them off. "The Great Oulu Fire of 2082" and "Malbone Street Wreck" were both written as part of a "30 songs in 30 days" contest in 2009, and Polis was also originally planned for Rise of the Obsidian Interstellar, but those plans also fell through.
